Art Walk at Kukui'ula Lights Up Poipu This Weekend
The south shore's finest evening event returns this Saturday. The Art Walk at Shops at Kukui'ula — April 11, from early evening until well past sunset — turns the open-air shopping village into a gallery-meets-farmers-market-meets-block-party. More than forty artisans set up beside the restaurants, live music drifts over from a small stage by the central lawn, and kids chase tropical moths through the string lights while parents order cocktails and actually finish them.
The vendors are the draw: painters working in Kauai plein-air traditions, jewelers using wave-smoothed shells and Niihau shell lei, photographers showing prints of the Na Pali Coast that are good enough to frame a wall around. The event is free, the parking is easy, and the vibe is more "Friday night on the South Shore" than "tourist event."
If you're going: the Art Walk pairs naturally with dinner at one of the village's open-air restaurants, most of which book up on Art Walk nights. The Beach House Restaurant is a 10-minute walk and has the best sunset view on the South Shore.
